SOP Savings project objectives

Overall objective 
Improvement of water and waste water systems maintenance and operation services, considering the expansion of county infrastructure and services regionalization, respectively developing a sustainable water and waste water system in Mures County, by improving quality of services and reducing the negative impact of waste water discharge, according to EU practices and policies. 
Project specific objectives
•Rapid detection and intervention on drinking water pipes, even in difficult to access places, resulting in a decrease of network losses; 
•Fast diagnosis and intervention in case of blockages on the sewerage network, resulting in increased efficiency of the operators’s service; 
•Minimizing the existing biological risk in wastewater treatment plants, by using specialized equipment when handling biological sludge; 
•Creating and integrating a data base on the operator’s meter stock, resulting in increased efficiency of the drinking water supply services.
